About Alin

Alin Silverwood is the pen name for Gary ("G. Alan") Barnum. He was raised in Los Angeles, CA, and he began working as a magazine editor, then he moved to New York where he joined the staff of Marvel Comics, working on titles like The Incredible Hulk, Ghost Rider, She-Hulk, and G.I. Joe. He also wrote short comic stories for them featuring characters from The Avengers, Spider-Man, and more.

He followed Marvel Comics with a stint at Paramount Pictures, working in creative services on releases such as Braveheart, Titanic, and Forrest Gump.

Saying goodbye to Hollywood, Alin moved into the toy industry, working as a writer and editor/pop culturist for Hot Wheels. Between comics, film, and toys, he is teased that he has never had to grow up!

Influenced by the likes of J.R.R. Tolkien, Star Wars, The Twilight Zone, and comic books, Alin's writing interests include Epic Fantasy, Steampunk, Ghost stories, and Superheroes.
